Raised bridge section and string vibrations flowing towards the upper end and the soundpost. Bridge mounted not by glued, but rather held by the tension level of the strings.
F-hole (named for their shape) are located on both sides of the bridge, and allow air entry and exit process for making a sound. Moreover f-holes also serve as a key to unlock the cello part for the purpose of repair and maintenance.
Sometimes a tube called Dampit, containing water in a sponge, inserted into the f-holes, and serves as a moisture regulator.
